EU-wide design competition launched

As part of MEUSAC’s Management Partnership with the European Commission, a national design competition for the design of creative installations showcasing EU-funded projects has been launched.

This is an open design competition for participants representing organisations or institutions engaged in design, art, architecture, landscape architecture, planning and/or engineering in Malta and Gozo.

The primary aim of this competition is to showcase national projects carried out or currently being undertaken with EU financing or co-financing and to highlight how EU-funded projects are contributing to the development of the Maltese islands.

MEUSAC will appoint a jury to review and evaluate all eligible submissions for which the selected design/s will be utilised for displaying EU-funded success stories in various public areas in both Malta and Gozo as specified in the terms of reference of the competition document.

The chosen team, comprising of at least two individuals, will be awarded €4,000 for the completion of all drawings including supervision of construction work at the various stages.

The registration form and the terms of reference for the competition may be accessed from www.meusac.gov.mt. For further information, contact Simon Grech on [email protected] or via telephone on 22003300.
