Police interrupt burglary attempt in Hamrun
District police were called to a shop in Triq il-Kappillan Mifsud corner with Triq Kanonku Bonnici in Hamrun after reports that two individuals were acting suspiciously.
Police interrupted a burglary in progress yesterday in Hamrun, apprehending one of two thieves.
At about 2:30am, district police were called to a shop in Triq il-Kappillan Mifsud corner with Triq Kanonku Bonnici in Hamrun after reports that two individuals were acting suspiciously.
One man, 18, from Hamrun, was apprehended while the other fled the scene. Police discovered that the shop door had been forced open and also found tools related to theft. Nothing was reported stolen.
Investigations are ongoing.
