20-year-old motorcyclist injured in Xewkija accident

A 20-year-old man is in critical condition following a traffic accident involving the motorcycle he was riding and a car.

The collision took place this morning at 6.30 a.m. in Triq l-Imġarr, Xewkija.

Preliminary investigations found that the two vehicles were being driven towards Għajnsielem from Xewkija.

The motorcyclist, who lives in Victoria, was driving a Suzuki 100, while the car, a Volkswagen Golf, was being driven by a 43-year-old man residing in Sliema.

The youth was conveyed by ambulance to Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified to be in critical condition.

Investigations are underway.
