Driver, passenger hospitalised following car crash

A driver and passenger were hospitalised this morning after colliding first with another car, then with a house façade

Two people were hospitalised after they collided with another car in Paola, and then mounted the pavement before hitting a house façade.

The accident took place at 11am this morning in Tarxien Road. The vehicles involved were a Vauxhall Nova, driven by a 20-year-old man, resident of Bormla, and a Volkswagen Polo, driven by a 37-year-old woman, of Tarxien.

The 20-year-old driver and his passenger, also 20, were taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment, but their condition is not yet known.
The road has been closed to traffic in both directions.

Police investigations are still under way.
