[WATCH] Save a life: don't text and drive

The Malta Police Force has launched a new video to warn drivers of the consequences of distracted driving.

The 33-second video features a young man who makes a phone call while driving. As he looks down at his phone to hang up, the man misses a red light, looking up and slamming on the breaks just in the nick of time to avoid running over a woman on the pelican crossing.

A message at the end reads: "With just one call, you could end it all."

The video aims at bringing attention to the possible outcomes of using mobile devices while driving.
