Updated | Car flips over in Marsa, two hospitalised

A car flipped over in Marsa, containing a driver and passenger. Both were hospitalised, Police have said.

The driver was a 76-year-old from Birkirkara. He was driving a Mercedes Benz. The passenger was a woman, aged 74, also from Birkirkara. The driver is reported to be suffering from serious injuries while the passenger only suffered slight injuries.

The accident took place on Aldo Moro Street in Marsa at around 8am on Tuesday morning. The police have said that the car lost control and crashed into a barrier. The Civil Protection Department and two ambulances went on site.

Police are still investigating. Magistrate Francesco Depasquale appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry.
