Man's body found in the sea close to Kemmuna

The Police said that a man's body was collected by the Armed Forces of Malta on Sunday after it was spotted at sea close to Kemmuna.

A helicopter and a patrol boat had been searching for the body for sometime after someone reported the incident. The body was eventually found on Sunday at 10am.

Police have confirmed that the man was a 67-year-old from Mosta and had been fishing earlier in the day.

Magistrate Paul Coppini was informed of the case and appointed several experts to aid him in the inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
