Young driver dies in Msida crash

A 25 year-old driver met a horrific death last night after his car fell off the Sta. Venera bridge.

The accident was reported at 11:45pm, when the driver of a Toyota Funcargo lost control, hit a road side barrier and smashed through the Sta. Venera bridge fencing and fell below onto Valley Road, Msida.

Motorists immediately alerted emergency services who rushed to the scene, but the driver was certified dead on the spot.

A Magisterial inquiry has been ordered.
