The migrants were reportedly on board a boat together with another 40 people, who claim to be Somalis, Pakistanis and from Kashmir.
An Armed Forces spokesman said that while the occupants of the boat insisted to be given right of passage and to proceed North towards, Sicily, the women requested to be taken to hospital.
They were taken aboard an AFM patrol craft and brought to the Maritime Sqaudron's base at Haywharf and immediately transferred to Mater Dei Hospital for medication.
The AFM said it is continuously monitoring the migrant craft to ensure safe passage.
