Tarxien snorkeler died of lacerated skull by propeller, Police search for boat
Ongoing search for boat that hit Charles Brignone while he was snorkeling at Zonqor.
(File photo: AFM) Charles Brignone was found yesterday following a joint mission by the AFM and the CPD.
The autopsy of Charles Brignone's body confirmed that the snorkeler died due to a lacerated skull when he was hit by a propeller.
Brignone, 44 from Tarxien, went diving on Sunday at around 9:45am. His family raised the alarm in the afternoon when he failed to return back.
During their search on Sunday, the AFM found his diving float. Following a joint operation by the AFM and the Civil Protections Department, divers yesterday found his body just off Zonqor Point.
Police are now searching for the boat after the autopsy confirmed he was hit by a boat.
