Worker seriously injured in concrete conveyor belt incident

The 26-year old was cleaning the conveyor belt when he sustained injuries to his face

A 26-year old man was hospitalised today after he sustained serious injuries to his face while cleaning a concrete conveyor belt, Police have said.

The incident took place around 12:30 pm today in Wied is-Sewda in Haz-Zebbug.

The man is resident in Msida and originally from Niger.

Members of the Civil Protection Unit and the Police arrived on site and an ambulance conveyed the 26-year old to Mater Dei. He is reportedly suffering from serious injuries.
