Malta Model Boat Association 2014 Malta IOM Open Invitation

This event is being sponsored once again by Thomas Smith Group, Bank Of Valletta plc., PeteCraft and Digital Planet, agents for Panasonic.

These One Metre long sailing yachts, which are remotely controlled, are the most common type of radio controlled sailing in the world. The one metre long sailboats weigh a minimum of 4kg and race within strict class rules to the Racing Rules of Sailing.

The Malta Model Boat Association proudly announces that the event will involve no less than 42 entrants from all over Europe. Skippers from as far afield as Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Croatia and the UK as well as 12 Maltese skippers will race during this year’s event. This is probably the biggest entry list since the Association’s first major event which was the World Championships that Malta hosted in 1999. The Association would like to thank its sponsors for their generosity and support in organising this annual event.
