Worker critically injured in Cottonera sports complex accident

A 32-year-old man from Qrendi suffered criticial injuries while carrying out works at the Cottonera Sports Complex at around 2:45am.

In a statement, the police said that the man was hit by a section of a structure within the complex that he and his colleagues were dismantling.

The man has been hospitalized and duty magistrate Francesco Depasquale is holding an inquiry.
