Swimmer dies after finding himself in difficulty at Ghadira

A 62-year-old man has died after finding himself in difficulties while swimming in Ghadira, Mellieha.

The man, who lives in St Paul's Bay, was brought ashore unconscious by people who where at the beach.

The police said that the man, a Slovakian national, was taken to hospital where he later died.
