Briton dies in traffic accident

A 30-year-old Englishman has died after being hit by car in Msida in the early hours of this morning.

A medical team had tended to the man’s serious injuries on the scene, and then conveyed him to Mater Dei hospital.

The Briton was run over by a 42-year-old Bormla resident, who was behind the wheel of a Peugeot 508, in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli at 1:00am.

The man died while he was in hospital.

Duty magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera appointed several experts to assist in the investigation.
