Armed robber makes off with cash from Rabat lotto booth

This is the third armed robbery that was reported in Malta this week 

Police are searching for a man who robbed a lotto booth at knifepoint in Triq San Pawl, Rabat this afternoon. Wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, the man barged into the lotto booth at around 4:45pm and demanded money from the person at the till – a 58-year-old woman from Rabat. He fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Duty magistrate Josette Demicoli was informed of the case and appointed a number of experts to assist in the inquiry.

This is the third armed robbery that was reported in Malta this week. An armed and hooded man robbed a clothes shop in Rabat on Wednesday, while a similar incident took place in Iklin on Tuesday.
