Updated | Police arrest formerly wanted man

The police had said the man is usually seen around the Birkirkara area and was arrested today at around 2:15pm

At around 2:15pm today, David Lineker, previously wanted by police, was arrested as he was making his way inside his mother's house.

He was arrested on Triq in-Naxxar in Birkirkara.

Liniker had previously not shown up to a Court of Appeal hearing related to him being charged for theft. That appeal had sentenced him to two years imprisonment.

The police had asked the public to help locate him after his no-show.

After just two days, Liniker was taken away in a police court to fulfill the orders of the court.
