Police arrest American drug mules

The police have arrested two foreign nationals in connection with a cocaine find on Tuesday evening, yesterday.

An American man of 22 years of age, was arrested after being taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, for carrying an unspecified amount of drug capsules in his stomach, on a flight from Amsterdam. Another American national, 20, arriving on the same flight, was arrested later in his Sliema hotel. He has also been carrying drug capsules.

Altogether, the capsules yielded 1kg of cocaine. Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona is investigating.
