An audit has revealed that the Gozo Channel's finances were in jeopardy, to the point where employees' wages risk not being paid. The audit report revealed illogical decisions, such as employees being paid an allowance for doing the work of their superiors while their superiors were paid overtime for doing the work of underlings.

The Nationalist Party called on the government to publish all of the energy contracts it has signed so far with Shangai Electric Power. PN deputy leader Mario de Marco, in a press conference, said that the documents should be published before the parliamentary debate.

Malta had only absorbed 30% of EU-allocated funds between 2007 and 2013, according to reports issued by the European Commission and by credit agency Moody's. Malta's representative in the EU Court of Auditors said that the EU will be requesting the funds back.
