A strategy group has recommended the implementation of a guaranteed minimum pension and incentives to keep workers in the labour market as a way to keep pensions sustainable. Measures such as raising the retirement age and social security contributions, which were met with much opposition, are not needed, the group said.

Labour MPs, with the exception of Marlene Farrugia, have declined to answer questions posed by Front Harsien ODZ regarding their stand on the Zonqor point university project. The PN parliamentary group unanimously voiced opposition to the project.
