Government issues expression of interest for Malta Film Studios

The government has extended an invitation to interested parties to submit proposals to construct, redevelop, maintain, manage and operate the Malta Film Studios.

The expression of interest will assess the willingness of a strategic partner to enter into a long-term collaboration with the Maltese government. The EOI seeks the investment in the existing water facilities as well as further investments in the circa 94,000 m2 site and the construction of one or more sound stages, bringing the film studio up to international standards. 

The Malta Film Studios have been in operation since 1964 and are still considered to be one of the largest film facilities in the Mediterranean.  

Interested parties are invited to submit their interest by email on [email protected]. Potential bidders will sign a confidentiality agreement and pay a €2,000 fee to access the EOI document. Deadline for the submission of the EOI is on 15 December, 2015.
