The first collective agreement was signed in the last days between the General Workers’ Union (GWU) and Identity Malta.

The new collective agreement covers a period of three years and is improving on several benefits and working conditions, the GWU said.

GWU public entity section secretary Jeremy Camilleri commented on the positive effects this step will have for Identity Malta employees.

“This collective agreement will not only guarantee an improvement in the working conditions and better wages for all the employees of Identity Malta, but it will also help to create an identity for this new company,” he said.

“This agreement also proves that Identity Malta’s management has put its employees as their first priority in their efforts to improve the services they provide,” he added.

The collective agreement was signed on workers' behalf by Camilleri and assistant secretary George Zahra.
