Students from the Malta Visual Performing Art School in Hamrun have produced an awareness-raising short film on bullying.

The film forms part of a project partnership between organisations in Malta, Hungary and Bulgaria.

The project known as Against School Aggression Partnership has developed a model programme to fight school violence and bullying. This was tested in several secondary schools in the participating countries.

The film features child actors and teachers and was scripted and directed by the school’s education officer, John Attard.

Corinne-Anne Cilia, head of the MVP school, said that an anti-bullying play was already being produced by students for students every year.

“When the opportunity came about to make a short film as part of a European campaign, we thought we couldn’t miss it,” she said.

The students involved with the short film said that they were happy to be part of this project and noted that it included all students in some way.

The project partners in Malta are SOS Malta and the anti-bullying service.
