Helpline set up for fishers and farmers following record-breaking storm

The secretariat responsible for fisheries and agriculture has set up a free-phone number for those requiring assistance or information

A free-phone helpline for farmers and fishermen seeking information or assistance following last weekend’s storm, has been set up, the secretariat for fisheries and agriculture said on Tuesday.

Anyone requiring assistance or information can call the secretariat on 8007 2213 between 8am and 7pm from Sunday to Monday.

In the meantime, the secretariat said that the Rural Development Department had already started to inspect a number of zones in order to quantify the damage caused.
