Clayton Pisani appointed for UEFA matches in Albania and Moldova

UEFA has announced further appointments for Maltese Officials, which include two matches for FIFA Referee Clayton Pisani in the space of 5 days.

On Thursday 10th July 2014, Clayton Pisani will be in charge of the Europa League 1st Qualifying Round 2nd leg match - KS Flamurtari (Albania) vs FC Sioni Bolnisi (Georgia) in Flamurtari Stadium, Vlora.  The first match ended in an away 2-3 win for the Albanian side.

The Malta FA has appointed FIFA Assistant Referee Ingmar Spiteri, Elite Assistant Referee Duncan Sultana and 4th Official Philip Farrugia. This will be Philip Farrugia’s debut in a UEFA match.  The Maltese match officials will be assessed by UEFA Referee Observer Robert Sedlacek from Austria.

On Tuesday 15th July 2014, Clayton Pisani will also be in charge of the Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round 1st leg match - FC Sheriff (Moldova) vs FK Sutjeska (Montenegro) in Stadionul Sheriff, Tiraspol.  

The Malta FA has appointed FIFA Assistant Referees Ingmar Spiteri and Edward Spiteri, and 4th Official Mario Apap.  The Maltese match officials will be assessed by UEFA Referee Observer Jan Carlsen from Denmark.

On Thursday 10th July 2014, Gaetano De Gabriele will be the referee observer during the Europa League 2nd Round 2nd Leg match PFC Litex Lovech (Bulgaria) – FC Veris (Moldova) in Lovech Stadion, Lovech.  UEFA has appointed Petr Ardelenau from Czech Republic as the referee of this encounter.  The first leg ended in a goalless draw.
