Maria-Gabriele Doublesin awarded Best Social & Business Care Award (Women helping Women) at the Businesswoman of the Year Awards

Maria-Gabriele Doublesin has been awarded the Best Social & Business Care Award (Women helping Women) at the Businesswoman of the Year Awards by Dynamic Events at the Intercontinetal Hotel, St Julian’s.

Doublesin is founder and director of ICC – Intercultural Counselling & Competence Development Ltd, a training and management consultancy firm that specialises in guiding businesses in contexts of intercultural competence, people & culture management and diversity.

Upon receiving the award, Doublesin said: “I dedicate this award to all women out there who are right now revamping themselves and their careers in the face of adversity: no matter what your life looks right now, reaffirm your conviction that you can succeed.”

Her company has, in fact, been rewarded for its work in re-engineering businesses even in the context of gender relations, with interculturality meaning different contexts which allow a workplace to have a competitive edge due through cross-sectoral leadership and team working skills.

Apart from her thriving management consultancy firm, Maria-Gabriele also finds time to lecture at the Malta Leadership Institute and to run NWAMI International, a voluntary NGO that works towards inclusion and community cohesion through cultural engagement.
