Michael Douglas diagnosed with throat tumour
Michael Douglas has been diagonsed with throat cancer and is now preparing for eight weeks of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This has been confirmed by Douglas’ spokesperson.
Douglas, 65 and widely known for his roles in Wall Street and Basic Instinct, said in a statement, “I am very optimistic”, whilst doctors expect the actor to make a full recovery.
The American actor, son of movie legend Kirk Douglas, is married to Catherine Zeta Jones and have two children, Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7. His long movie career spans over the past five decades.
