Not much to say, but I declare I can vouch to what you said. Malta changed, and in my 76 years I see that it change for the worse. Gone is everything that was so dear to us the simple life and friendly people.

Salv, you might be right with your choice of French expression. But remember how much maneuvering, time and energy it takes to turn a huge wayward, haphazard moving tanker around. However, it would be up to us to keep politicians on their toes. No political party should consider itself irreplaceable. Up to now, I feel the new Administration is on the right track, with obvious stumbling steps along the learning curve. But I reiterate, it is up to the independent press to keep ALL politicians on their toes. If democratic Malta were to lose this weapon then God have mercy on us.
