August 2006 have been extended until March 2015, MEPA says.
All expired planning permits issued after August 2006 have been extended until March 2015, the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) announced today.
The Authority said that in an effort save financial burdens, works should resume without the need to go through the planning process all over burden.
“The policy,” MEPA said, “is intended to provide a temporary solution for expired permits until the planning reform is concluded.”
The one year extension to expired planning permits was being done in light of the government’s committment to reduce bureacurcacy and development applications, MEPA said.
