Three persons held following regatta brawl

Three persons were arrested this afternoon following a brawl which broke out during the Freedom Day regatta in Valletta.

The police confirmed that three persons are being held in connection with the fight, which took place at 2:30pm in Valletta.

Although it is unclear who was involved in the fracas, it is thought the fight broke out over the traditional regatta. The police said that the situation returned to normal following the intervention of the district police and the Rapid Intervention Unit.

Nobody was injured in the brawl.
