Man in critical condition after scooter accident

A man is in danger of losing his life after an accident with his scooter in St Julian's.
The incident took place in Triq Sant’ Andrija, St Julian's, at about midnight, when the driver, a 45-year-old man from Mosta, hit a roundabout while on his Piaggio Vespa. Rider and scooter then skidded some distance after the impact.
His pillion rider, a 36-year-old woman from Sarajevo, resident in St Julian's, sustained only minor injuries.
A magesterial inquiry is ongoing, as are police investigations.
