Man dies after crashing car into wall, pole

A 65-year-old man lost his life in Mgarr yesterday after crashing his car in Triq San Filippu l-Imgarr, though it is not clear if he died as a direct result of the crash.

At 10:45pm police were called to the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest the Mgarr resident crashed his Peugeot into a parked car, then a wall and a pole.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will be carried out to determine whether the man died as a result of the crash.
