Shots fired in Gzira, no one injured, man arrested

No one was injured during an argument in Gzira this evening, when shots were fired.

In a statement, the police said an argument erupted between two men in Triq Luqa Briffa. The argument took place in a garage between a 24-year-old man and a 43-year-old man.

It transpires that the younger man, during the argument, brought out his firearm from the garage and fired shots, aiming at the 43-year-old man. The latter was not injured.

The younger man fled the scene but he was later arrested by the police.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed. Police investigations underway.
