Eight men arrested on drug charges over Halloween weekend

A total of eight men were arrested during the weekend in four separate cases related to drugs, according to the police.

Four of the men, aged between 15 and 21, were arrested in Marsaskala after being found to be in possession of cannabis and cannabis resin.

A fifth man, 26, was arrested in Zejtun after police found what they suspected to be cocaine in his possession.

In Paceville, another two men were arresting, with the 35-year-old also being found in possession of cocaine. The other man, Angus Camenzuli, 20, was arrested after 100 ecstasy pills and several sachets of cocaine were found on his person. The nature in which the drugs were found made it clear that they were intended for trafficking. A further investigation into Camenzuli’s garage in Attard resulting in the discovery of cannabis.

Furthermore, the eighth man, 22-year-old Abdirashid Adan Guled was arrested on his arrival at Malta International Airport, being found in possession of 3.4 kilogrammes of khat.
