Car catches fire in Qormi, damages nearby vehicles

A car has borne extensive damages in an early-morning fire in Qormi.

The Ford Ka was parked on Triq San Rafel as it caught fire at around 2:00am. Two other cars, a Toyota Starlet and Maruti Gypsy, were situated close to the affected vehicle at the time of the fire, and were also damaged. 

The police said that no injuries were reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.

Similar incidents took place last Friday as well as in December of last year, when a pickup truck and a car caught fire in the early hours of the morning in Gharghur.
