A pickup truck caught fire in the early hours of this morning in Gharghur with no injuries being reported, in the second such incident in the locality in recent months.

Police told MaltaToday that the Mitsubishi pickup truck caught fire at 1:50am, on Triq Mons. Luigi Catania, damaging the façade of a nearby building.

Photos of the car and the adjacent building show extensive damage to the vehicle’s interior as well as to both floors of a façade belonging to a residence. A window on the first floor of the residence’s wall appears to be singed while the second floor was completely blackened from the smoke that emerged from the fire.
