Man suffers grievous injuries after falling on rocks at St Thomas Bay

A man was grievously injured yesterday evening after he slipped and fell on the rocks at St Thomas Bay, Marsaskala. 

According to a police statement, the incident took place in an area of the beach known as tal-Fajtata, at around 8.30pm. 

The victim, a Syrian national, was assisted by members of the Red Cross Society until an ambulance arrived on site.

Police investigations are ongoing.
