Electoral Commission issues instructions for early voting

Early voting to be allowed to persons who will be abroad on polling day on Saturday 2 March.

In a statement issued today the Electoral Commission reminded voters who will be abroad on Election Day that they can vote a week before on Saturday 2 March.

The commission said that voters who are set to be away can make a  declaration on oath before the Electoral Commissioners in order to cast their vote on Saturday  2 March. 

This declaration on oath would be made at the Office of the Electoral Commission,  Evans Building,  St. Elmo Square,  Valletta,  or at the Identity Cards Office,  St. Francis Square,  Rabat, Gozo, by not later than Friday 1 March at noon.

The offices are open between Monday and Friday from 8am to 2pm and from 3pm to 7pm
and Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 1pm.

Persons are required to carry their ID Card when taking the oath and their voting document on when voting on Saturday 2 March.
