An Eritrean man was reunited with his infant son yesterday after appealing to the authorities. Tages Gebregzabher's wife had died in a car accident in Libya three weeks ago, leaving her son Abiel, 3, with his uncle. Gebregzabher has an eight-year old son living in Eritrea with relatives.

Leader of the Opposition Simon Busuttil has proposed the founding of an international peacekeeping mission under the auspices of the UN. The Arab League and the EU would cooperate in this international effort. Busuttil criticized the government for not informing or consulting the Opposition on the situation in Libya.

A Maltese worker feared missing in Libya was located an hour after the alarm was raised. Roger Muscat, 49, had not contacted his family for two weeks, at which time his brother made a police report. Muscat was alive and well aboard the ship where he is currently working.

An oil worker who arrived in Malta yesterday told journalists how despite pleas made to the government for several weeks, he received no reply. Saviour Brincat said that he had pleaded with the government to evacuate him from his work site in the desert but no aid was forthcoming.
