Opposition leader in ‘strategic’ US visit

The Nationalist Party said leader Simon Busuttil is in the United States for a series of strategic meetings.

Busuttil will be in the States for a week for a specialised and intensive programme that was organised with the assistance of the US embassy.

Busuttil will meet representatives of the US government, NGOs, NATO officials among others in Washington and New York.

Items on the agenda include Libya, illegal immigration, US policy on immigration, and Malta-USA-EU relations.
