PM Joseph Muscat has called on 'genuine' hunters to help weed out criminals from within their ranks as he announced tougher penalties for illegal hunting and trapping. He declined to give specifics on the penalties.

This newspaper reports how Transport Malta has removed the 'Bus lane temporarily suspended' signage in Aldo Moro Road, without a public announcement. Motorists have been making use of the lane, particularly in morning traffic. Other signage indicates that those caught in the bus lane will face a fine of €58.

Hugo Chetcuti, owner of several night clubs in Paceville, has expressed support for the proposal to regularize the sex trade in Malta. He said that without such action, there is rampant abuse, exploitation and health concerns for sex workers.
