President Marie-Louise Coleiro launches a ‘Festa Palazz’ in honour of the Malta Community Chest Fund on the 29th and 30th May at San Anton palace.

President Marie-Louise Coleiro launched a ‘Festa Palazz’ in honour of the Malta Community Chest Fund earlier today. The festival will take place on the 29th and 30th May at San Anton palace.

The president explained that this event was organized to allow families and members of the public to enter and visit the palace and bask in the historic and natural environment of the building.

The event’s organization team chairman Mario Coleiro said that the event would extend from the San Anton public garden to the Kitchen Garden.

“The President’s private garden will also be open to the public, along with an exclusive exhibition of governor’s portraits in the palace halls,” Coleiro said.

Coleiro added that all the proceeds of this event would go to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

“Adults will be asked for a five euro donation whereas children will be allowed to enter for free,” he continued.

Coleiro explained that the festival would be fun both adults and children, and that food prepared in the President’s kitchen would also be on sale.

“There will be a live exhibition of traditional Maltese arts and crafts with eighteen exhibitors showing their work,” Coleiro said adding that there would also be an impressive exhibition set up by the Malta Visual Arts Group in the private gardens.

Coleiro also explained that there would be a palace tour themed in the Governor Sir Alexander Bell era, organized by the Historical Re-Enactment Group of Malta.
