Forum Unions Maltin expresses solidarity with Greek citizens
ForUM appealed to the government and representation in the European Parliament to respect the perspectives of the Greek populace

The Forum Unions Maltin has expressed its solidarity with workers, young people and pensioners in Greece being affected by the country's precarious financial situation.
"ForUM believes that workers, young people and pensioners in Greece have already sufferred enough the consequences of irresponsible former decisions taken by Greek politicians and by banks," the forum said in a press statement.
"It would be shameful if the European Union, which was founded purposely on the values of solidarity between European peoples, allows economic forces to blackmail a nation’s citizens with austerity reforms against all democratic principles."
ForUM appealed to the Maltese government and Malta's representatives in the European Parliament to acknowledge and respect the perspectives and hardships of the Greek people and to resist "any blackmail by the Troika."
