Man grievously injured in Marsa

A man has been grievously injured while racing a horse in Marsa on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 1.30pm at the Marsa Horse Racing Track.

The police said an investigation revealed that a 60-year-old man, from Gozo, had suffered injuries while he was racing a horse.

An ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment, where it was certified he was suffering from grievous injuries.

A police investigation is currently ongoing.
