ASMK Races at Ta' Qali on 17 March

Following a three week break from racing events at Ta Qali, next Sunday 17th March ASMK will be organising the 10th event of the season for the Autocross Classes A and B, the Gozo Autocross and the Classes A and B for the Motocross too.

Last racing events have changed the general ASMK Pasta Poiatti Championship
points.

In Autocross Class A Christian Galea on his Fiat Ritmo regained his lead with 52 points but he is just a single point ahead of Patrick Cassar on  his Opel Corsa. Manuel Muscat now with 24 points stands in 3rd overall in Class A on another Opel Corsa B.

Malcolm Borg drove his Opel to 1st overall with 35 points in Autocross Class B. Mario Scicluna follows with 23 points and 3rd places is Guzi Pace on his Escort Mk1 with 19 points.

Christian Apap is leading the Gozo Autocross championship on a RWD Escort Mk.1. Apap won 42 points. Domiinic Zammit on an Alfa Sud and Marvic Vassallo on another Escort follows in 2nd place with 40 points each. These Gozo drivers have to cross the Maltese channel to practice their sport at ASMK at Ta Qali.

2011/12 Championship title holder Clayton Camilleri on a KTM is leading the Class A Motocross current championship with 114 points. Carmelo Borg on a Suzuki RMZ follows close by with 109 points in 2nd place overall. Last event's race winner Paul Muscat on another KTM is placed 3rd overall with 99 points.

The Motocross Class B is also well battled for the lead. Trever Muscat on a KTM 250cc is increasing his lead. Trever won 125 points to date. Brandon Cassar Muscat on a Yamaha YZF is runner-up with 101 points. 3rd placed overall is Gozitan young rider Joseph Bigeni with 84 points on his Suzuki RMZ.

Next Saturday the general public is invited to watch the Practice sessions for free. These sessions start at 2.00 pm while the Trials nursery sessions start at 3.00pm. ASMK Instructor will be conducting the lessons.

ASMK also wish to announce the date for the next Car Demolition for smaller Cars. This event will be held on Sunday 21st April. Interested competitors can personally register their cars during meetings held at the ASMK Club House in Mtarfa, next Thursday 21st March and final date on 4th April 2013. The Mtarfa meetings will be held between 8.00pm and 9.30pm respectively.
