How each candidate fared on the electoral districts

MEPs win their seats on one nationwide district, but we have split each candidate's first-count votes according to the electoral district the votes were cast in.

Using our infographic, you can see how each candidate fared on every single electoral district.

For example, Labour MEP candidate Clint Camilleri, who is Gozitan, got the party's highest share of first-count votes on his Gozo district - even though Labour favourite Alfred Sant made quite an intensive campaign on the sister island.

Norman Lowell, the far-right candidate whose surprising vote count almost endangered the Greens' third party status, got his highest first-count vote on the 12th district - St Paul's Bay, Mellieha, and Naxxar.

Green party candidate Arnold Cassola on the other hand, got his highest votes on the 11th district - Attard, Balzan and Mosta.

And Alfred Sant held the number one spot on all districts except the Gozitan 13th, and the traditionally 'blue' ninth, tenth and eleventh districts, where Nationalist incumbent Roberta Metsola held the PN's top vote.
