Audrey Friggieri discusses the different forms of poetry in Mario Azzopardi’s anthology, Il-Fabbrikant tal-Marjunetti (Horizons, 2012). Luke and Audrey share thoughts on how rereading Azzopardi’s work always offers something new, and how Azzopardi focuses on the human condition and the search for meaning within it.

Audrey Friggieri was brought up in Luqa, next to a beautiful valley that is no longer. She published her first children’s book in 2013, which was shortlisted for the National Book Prize. She graduated as a teacher, and is finalizing her doctorate research on Maltese youth and education. In 2022, she authored Karolina, Ferdi u s-saħħar il-ħażin together with Clarissa Sammut Scerri, and Ana u Zak isalvaw il-pjaneta, two illustrated books for children published by Merlin Publishers.
