Woman in danger of dying after fall

A 46-year-old woman, of English nationality, is in danger of dying after falling down a height in Ghajnsielem, Gozo. The incident is believed to have occured at around 8.15pm yesterday evening.

Initial investigations indicate that the woman, a Nadur resident, fell down into the street Triq ix-Xatt, only a few metres away from the town’s main avenue.

The woman was initially taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance but, due to her severe injuries, was transferred to Mater Dei.

Further investigations are being carried out.
