Boy, 5, suffers grievous injuries after being hit by car

A car accident this morning left a 5-year-old boy in hospital being treated for grievous injuries.

The boy, a Qormi resident, was hit by Daihatsu Sirion on Correa Road, Qormi, just before 8:30am.

The vehicle was being driven by a 32-year-old woman, resident of Zebbug.

An ambulance conveyed the boy to Mater Dei hospital in order to treat his injuries.

Police investigations are still underway.
