A rock-climber had to be airlifted to safety after falling from over a storey height at the valley in Xlendi, Gozo, on Monday.

The climber, identified as a 32-year-old Frenchman, had been abseiling down the cliffs at the valley with four other friends when he slipped and fell to the bottom. The accident happened at around 5:15pm.
